Shin Splits(tibia)
Pain along the inner edge of the shinbone (tibia) where muscle is attached to the bone.

It is an inflammation of the muscles, tendons, and bone tissue around your tibia.
Shin splint pain may

1.Be sharp and razor-like or dull and throbbing
2 .Occur both during and after exercise
3.Aggravated by touching the sore spot

It is most commonly associated with Running.
Risk factors include flat foot/ any change in running surface/ worn out shoes/ lack of proper warm up and cool down/ improper diet or nutritional deficit.
In females most common cause is female athlete triad.
And new study by BJ SM concluded RED-S ( RELATIVE ENERGY DEFICIT SYNDROME) as a cause.

Also known as Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome ( MTSS)
