Groin pain can be
classified as
1.Hip Related
2.Adductor Related
3.Pelvis Related
4. Inguinal Related
It is very important to specify that “groin pain” means “pain in the groin area” and is not a diagnosis.
A chronic tendinitis of the adductor muscles/tendons, especially that of the adductor longus, is the most frequently diagnosed cause of groin pain and takes place near the myotendinous junction of the involved muscle.
Most common sports associated is football.
Many technical movements in football may favor the onset of the injury: jumps, dribbling, cutting movements in general, takles performed sliding with abducted leg and adductor muscle contracted.
